I had heard that Japan had beer vending machines but haven't really seen all that many. This one, outside a liquor store near Namiki bashi, on the Sakura-gaokacho side of Meiji dori (sort of hidden next to the northeast end of the bridge that takes you over the train tracks and into Daikanyama) seems to be out of order.
Maybe the other two are working. (Is that umeshu by the quart?)
