I am still sorting out conversational Japanese. This just in:
"Yamete yo" is "Hey! Stop!" while "Yamete ne" is like "Let's stop it, okay?" and "Yamete yone" is like "For goodness sake, stop, will you?"
where a reporter/mom from Brooklyn chronicles ex-pat life in Japan since moving there in December 2007 with her husband and two boys...
