yikes
Akihabara is, to plagiarize Blaine Harden of the Washington Post, where thousands of young men from Japan and around the world gather for electronic gadgets and comic books, computer games and nerdy fellowship. It's a neon-lighted temple for high-tech consumerism and for magazines and comics that cater to adolescent fantasies. On Sunday afternoon, it was also the scene of a horrific crime. Luckily we were nowhere near the area when it happened.
