C says the cherry blossoms "are the most beautiful thing in Japan, maybe the world." Here he is with his brother in Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, where we picnicked today with our new friends Fumika and her son Josh.

Hey! We've got cherry blossoms too! It's almost like we're living in the same place -- except we don't have great sushi, charming playgrounds, excessive fashion, neighborhood shrines, and on-street parking. (But maybe you don't have that either...) Still loving the blog!!
